BITE-SIZE SESSION: The pandemic has exposed the physical, mental, societal and financial vulnerabilities of individuals and families across the country. The vastness of the income inequality divide and financial fragility also has been brought to light over the past year. Data from a series of national consumer polls from the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) tell a story of significant worry and anxiety, but also showcase how Americans have adapted their finances during COVID, while selflessly providing support to others. This data can enhance your storytelling by providing greater insight and context to the level of uneasiness that has been experienced by millions because of the pandemic. Dr. Billy Hensley, president and CEO of NEFE, will offer highlights from this data and speak about the implications for journalists, financial educators, counselors, researchers and other intermediaries.
Presenter: Dr. Billy Hensley, president and CEO, National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE)
